Canterbury Community Trust contributes $90k to three Big Brothers Big Sisters branches!

July 4th, 2011: We’ve just heard that the Canterbury Community Trust has funded all three Big Brothers Big Sisters branches in their funding region: Nelson ($25k); North Canterbury ($25k); and Christchurch ($40k). Ka mau te wehi (awesome)!  Thank you CCT, your funding will make a positive difference in many kids lives!

The Canterbury Community Trust’s primary goal is to “help people first” and this is reflected in the way donations are allocated. Here at Big Brothers Big Sisters we are appreciative of the fact that the Canterbury Community Trust has been a consistent funder of the Big Brothers Big Sisters programme in the South Island.

For more than 100 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.   The funding that Canterbury Community Trust provides will help us make and support more of these awesome mentoring relationships.  Thank you.
